STAFF ACCOUNTANT SOUTH CAROLINA REGIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY NO. 3
South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 3 (SCRHA3) is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to contribute to meaningful, community‑focused work while building a solid foundation in governmental and HUD‑regulated accounting. This position is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable work with accuracy, strong follow-through and sound judgment while providing essential support to the Director of Finance and Senior Accountant. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices and statements for payment
- Record and deposit daily cash receipts and other incoming funds to ledger accounts
- Provide support to accounting staff with annual audits, analysis, and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS A
degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent training/experience- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in general accounting or governmental/non-profit accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software
- Required knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, high transaction volumes and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
