Full-Time, Onsite About the Company We are partnering with an expanding manufacturing organization based in Charleston, South Carolina that is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Accounting team and play a key role in managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and year-end audit process. Position Summary The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with external audit requirements. This role requires a hands-on accounting professional with experience in manufacturing or construction environments and a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and project-based accounting principles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while partnering with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Maintain the integrity of financial records in accordance with

U.S. GAAP.

Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Assist in preparation of monthly management reporting packages and financial analyses. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Support Monitor inventory accounting and assist with inventory reconciliations and cycle counts. Support cost accounting functions, including standard costs, variances, bill of materials, and manufacturing overhead allocations. Analyze manufacturing performance and cost trends to support operational decision-making. Partner with operations personnel to improve inventory controls and financial processes. Audit & Compliance Serve as a key contributor during the annual financial statement audit. Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and respond to auditor requests. Assist with internal controls documentation and process improvements. Support tax filings and compliance requirements as needed. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency. Participate in ERP system enhancements and accounting process optimization initiatives. Support special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc financial analyses. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Experience managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Manufacturing or construction industry accounting experience. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Preferred NetSuite ERP experience strongly preferred . Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting. Experience supporting external audits and internal control environments. Experience in a multi-entity or project-driven environment.
