Senior Accounting Manager | Corporate Office 7700 Trenholm Rd., Ext. Columbia

Schedule Monday - Friday Location 100% In Person, Remote as needed, Travel 10% Role and Responsibilities Analysis and preparation of journal entries for each monthly close on both a GAAP and Tax basis Determine appropriate accruals, standard entries, allocations, reclasses and adjustments to accurately reflect the monthly results of each property Preparation of standard account reconciliations including expense and income review, journal entries, supporting analysis, escrow analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset analysis including depreciation, additions and disposals through the accounting system Generate financial reports to report monthly, quarterly and annual results to Lenders, Partners, and other third parties Review operating cash flows, balance sheets and income statements for accuracy and completeness Ensuring timely payment of certain property expenses such as mortgage payments, taxes and various other expenses Preparation of documentation to support year-end close and related audit packages Completion of monthly global accounting functions for the property portfolio, including publishing reports and posting portfolio-wide journal entries Assist Accounting Managers with review on month-end property accounting packages Assist with transition and onboarding of property acquisitions and management takeovers of properties into the portfolio New construction property financial setup; stabilization expense review and analysis with owners and lenders Budget preparation and review in conjunction with senior management and owners Lead a team of Accounting Managers and Accounting Specialists Other duties as assigned Qualifications and education requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
Note:
5-7 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements. 5-7 years of experience with accounting, forecasting and financial analysis required 1-2 years of experience with a Real Estate Management Company or in Public Accounting preferred CPA Certification preferred Preferred Skills Strong general ledger knowledge required Strong organizational and administrative skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and data management software Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize to ensure completion of work by given timelines Additional Notes Position requires occasional lifting of items no greater than 50 lbs CAHEC Management Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
