Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate - Billing Specialist, will perform the entire Accounts Receivable function from invoicing to cash applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Not Applicable Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion Maintains clean work area Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards Works normal shift hours and overtime as required Match, batch, and compile documents to support sales invoices Enter, post and reconcile sales batches daily Ensure proper revenue recognition of sales batches Research and resolve AR issues with Customers Update and reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger Maintain account reconciliations and credit memos from returns Perform periodic AR collections tasks for past due invoices Assist with month end close (send statements, run reports) Cross train with AP Associate and Cash Applications Maintain a filing system for AR invoices Share phone answering duties for calls into the accounting department Maintains files as needed (both paper and electronic) Operates office equipment like copier, fax, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Working knowledge Microsoft Office Suite or related software Must be able to work collaboratively with co-workers Flexibility to handle multiple tasks
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent At least two years related experience required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
