The Staff Accountant assists in maintaining the general ledger, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, assists in accounting for private entities, assists in new system implementations, and other projects.
Prepare financial statements.
Associated Packaging, Inc. (main business accounting responsibilities):
Cash Application Back UpPrepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end general ledger closing processMonthly balance sheet account analysesBank statement reconciliationsAssist in fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation calculationsMonthly verification and distribution of financial reportsAdhere to standard accounting principles and company proceduresOther accounting duties and special projects as assignedPerform quality work within deadlines.
Interact and communicate professionally with other employees, customers, vendors, and sales team Education and/or
Microsoft Office 365 suite experience (Outlook, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)NetSuite and QuickBooks experienceProficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Light work, requiring exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and /or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required which requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, lift file boxes, bend and/or stand on a stool as necessary.

Importing daily financial transactionsPosting in appropriate general ledger accountsBank reconciliationsPerform month-end and year-end close processes.Prepare financial statements.

Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or experience equivalent to five years of general ledger accounting.Microsoft Office 365 suite experience (Outlook, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)NetSuite and QuickBooks experienceProficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
