Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Germantown, Tennessee. This role involves managing key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial statements.
• Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between financial statements and bank records.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to support interdepartmental financial needs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Provide insights to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in audits and prepare necessary documentation. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end closing and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and journal entries.
• Strong understanding of account and bank reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
