Controller About the Company Our client is a rapidly growing, PE backed clinical research site management organization. The company operates a growing network of clinical research sites and is expanding through strategic acquisitions. As the organization continues to scale, our client is building out its corporate accounting infrastructure and is seeking a Senior Accountant who is excited by the opportunity to help create processes, improve systems, and support the integration of newly acquired businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants more than a traditional Senior Accountant role. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the Controller and leadership team while taking on meaningful responsibility across accounting operations, financial reporting, acquisitions, process improvement, and an upcoming ERP implementation. The Opportunity The Senior Accountant will play a key role in strengthening and scaling the company's accounting function. This individual will support the month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis while helping standardize accounting processes across the organization. A significant component of the role will involve integrating newly acquired companies and helping lead the implementation of NetSuite . The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is motivated by the opportunity to help build something rather than simply maintain an established accounting process. Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Month-End Close Manage general ledger activities, including preparation and review of journal entries. Support and improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and account analyses. Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide meaningful commentary to leadership. Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and analysis. Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, billing trends, and other key financial metrics. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities. Develop financial models and perform ad hoc analysis to support business decisions. Partner with the Controller and CFO on financial and operational KPIs. Support cash management and working capital analysis. ERP Implementation & Process Improvement Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite across the organization. Help define accounting requirements, processes, workflows, and chart of accounts structure. Support data migration, testing, implementation, and post-go-live activities. Help transition acquired businesses from QuickBooks and manual processes into standardized systems. Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes. Develop scalable accounting infrastructure that can support continued company growth. M&A & Acquisition Integration Support the accounting integration of newly acquired businesses. Help standardize financial processes, reporting, and controls across acquired locations. Partner with site-level teams to understand existing accounting processes and implement best practices. Participate in M&A diligence and post-acquisition integration activities. Serve as a key accounting resource during the transition of newly acquired entities. Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversee and review accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and approval workflows. Support customer billing and accounts receivable activities. Monitor A/P and A/R aging and assist with resolving outstanding balances. Partner with operational and site teams to ensure accurate and timely billing. Audit & Compliance Assist with external audit coordination and tax preparation. Maintain accurate accounting records and appropriate internal controls. Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies. Why join?
