Role:
  • Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
  • Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and close support schedules.
  • Review general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies.
  • Partners across accounting, operations, billing, commissions, and cash management.
  • Assist with MGA-related accounting activity, including premium, commission, fees, and carrier settlements.
  • Help maintain strong internal controls, accurate records, and audit-ready documentation.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, insurance or a multi-entity environment is a plus.
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting support.
  • Strong general ledger knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience in an MGA, insurance carrier, brokerage, or premium accounting environment.
  • Exposure to commission accounting, carrier reconciliations, and cash application.
  • Experience supporting audits or improving close processes.
