Job Description

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and a partner to the plant leadership. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks with a focus on GL account reconciliations and account analysis. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, analyze, and review monthly journal entries ensuring proper documentation. Prepare account analyses, including balance sheet and PL results, with a focus on automating and improving cash reconciliation process. Review and analyze the organization's processes and procedures and identify and recommend improvements. Maintain fixed asset and related depreciation schedules. Assist with analysis and preparation of monthly financial statements for timely distribution to management. Assist with annual external audits. Assist with special projects as requested, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an accounting role Manufacturing experience strongly preferred Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus Advanced Microsoft Office skills
