Accounting Assistant Job Description Department:

No Position Overview:

Auben Realty is rooted in the real estate industry. We are seeking a self-starter, dedicated person to join our accounting team. The Accountant will report directly to the Controller. The individual will be responsible for day-to-day tasks within accounting to help assist the accounting department along with other departments within the company.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Associate degree in Accounting or a related field is strongly preferred

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an accounting assistant Strong attention to detail and accuracy Experience with AppFolio software is a plus

Essential Job Functions:

Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation Assist senior financial officers as needed

Work Environment:

Position is primarily located in a well-lit office environment.

Equipment Operated:

Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, telephone, calculators, etc.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is primarily sitting at a desk utilizing a computer.
