We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will oversee tax compliance, prepare accurately detailed filings, and identify strategic tax-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate stays ahead of changing tax laws and brings a proactive approach to financial risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns. Monitor business operations to ensure full adherence to tax regulations. Analyze complex tax codes to optimize deductions and credits. Serve as the primary point of contact for external tax audits. Calculate quarterly and annual corporate tax provisions. Provide actionable tax guidance to leadership on new business initiatives. Maintain organized accounting records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions. conduct and assist with internal audits and maintain accounting controls and procedures. Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting Experience:
2-5years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
License:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) preferred.
Software:
Proficiency in advanced Excel and tax software (e.g., ONESOURCE, TurboTax Business),
Quickbooks Traits:
Sharp analytical skills, high ethical standards, and excellent communication. Preferred Qualifications (strongly encouraged not required) CPA license Experience assisting with business tax preparation and filings.
