SAS CPA LLC
is a full-time, on-site position based in Weslaco, TX. The person in this role will prepare and review financial statements, maintain general ledgers, and perform account reconciliations. Daily responsibilities include posting journal entries, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings. The Staff Accountant will work with senior team members to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and firm policies. The role also involves communicating with clients regarding documentation needs, responding to accounting inquiries, and contributing to process improvements within the firm. Qualifications Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP, and experience with general ledger maintenance and financial statement preparation. Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, reconciliations, and basic financial analysis tools. Solid understanding of tax concepts and compliance, with the ability to support preparation of individual and business tax returns. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a client-focused environment.
