Each brand is a leader in the Hispanic Industry and is well known to our Hispanic shoppers in the U.S. We are currently seeking an Senior Accountant & Financial Analystto join our growing team in the El Paso, Texas area. Summary Responsible for keeping informed of any tax changes that affect the business and ensure compliance with taxing agency requirements (federal, state and local). Responsible for maintaining company expense allocations.

Assist in all month end closing activities. Assist in the Consolidation Process.
Bonus:
qualifies up 2 months of base salary Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates with tax consultants for the preparation of all state and federal tax returns Review of final tax returns prepared by tax consultants Calculation of quarterly tax payments Tax accrual and expense accounts reconciliation Income Tax Provision and Deferred Tax Calculations, both state and federal. Reviews property tax valuations and ensures tax recorded properly Reports and files Sales and Use tax for CA and TX Reports and files tax withholdings (i.e. 1042s) Reviews 1099s reporting prepared by AP Supervisor Research tax issues with state and federal government Consistently research and update changes in tax regulations (federal, state and local) Research into city and state laws on beverage container tax (bottle bills); as well as 'sugar taxes and any other excise taxes applicable to the company Prepare calculation and payments of bottle bill related returns and reports. Prepare calculation and payments of 'sugar taxes and any other excise taxes. Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the Department of Commerce. Prepares quarterly and annual reports for Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Prepares monthly bank reconciliations; investigate and adjust any reconciling items Allocates company expenses based on net sales or other methods. Allocates subsidiaries expenses by region and product. Prepare manual journal entries as required. Schedules and analyze certain expense accounts for internal use and for annual audit. Assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for NovaUSA and subsidiaries as well as Frutas Concentradas and subsidiaries Analyze financial statements by customer, territory and by product. Assist GL Coordinator and Controller in Special Projects as assigned. Analyze financial statements actual verses budget. Maintains asset depreciation system Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of integrated computerized accounting systems experience required. Tax Accounting and knowledge of tax returns and CPA certificate preferred.
Language Ability:
Bilingual English/Spanish required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public; verbally and in writing to legal counsel, board members, partners and contractors.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer and Other Skills:
Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, E-Mail, perform extensive Internet research, and posses knowledge of integrated computerized accounting systems, tax software
Certifications:
CPA is a plus Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
