Job Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Mid-level Accountant position for our client.
Location:
Freeport, TX Duration:
12 months
Pay Rate:
$35.00/hour
Duties:
Assist with the monthly closing process in SAP. Prepare and post journal entries. Perform General Ledger (G/L) account analysis and reconciliation. Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies. Reconcile intercompany accounts. Support capital expense and fixed asset management activities. Assist with inventory valuation. Participate in various accounting and financial projects. Analyze financial information and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and support month-end reporting activities.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience working with SAP. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
2+ years of recent, relevant accounting experience. Experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and General Ledger analysis. Experience with bank and intercompany reconciliations preferred. Experience with capital expenses, asset management, or inventory valuation is a plus. Hands-on experience using SAP and Excel.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related major from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
