Job Description
Responsibilities Performs clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting. Processes all accounts payable and accounts received in a timely and accurate manner. Provides project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as the need arises. Assists with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements. Assembles client billings packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and ensures timely payment. Prepares bank deposits and cash receipt entries. Qualifications High school diploma. Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset. Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred. Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting. Basic understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash flows. Exposure to project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements. Basic understanding of lien rights. Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information. Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.
