Job Description

Our client, an established organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join their team. This role involves managing the company's fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple financial systems and collaborating across teams. Salary +

Direct Hire Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and update fixed asset records across the company's ERP and asset management systems, including Microsoft Dynamics NAV and JD Edwards Review, approve, and code fixed asset invoices in the company's document management/workflow system, ensuring proper documentation and account coding Reconcile asset costs and balances between source systems and the general ledger, investigating and resolving variances prior to month-end close Process monthly depreciation for all fixed assets and verify the accuracy of depreciation calculations Record and manage asset disposals, including assets that are sold, damaged, lost, or stolen Prepare and enter Construction in Progress (CIP) adjustment and reclassification entries, transferring CIP costs to fixed assets as projects are completed Prepare monthly fixed asset reconciliations and run depreciation expense reasonableness reports Enter finalized monthly fixed asset data into the company's financial consolidation and reporting platform, such as OneStream, for reporting purposes Generate, review, and archive fixed asset reports from ERP and business intelligence/reporting tools Record journal entries related to depreciation, disposals, and asset transfers Process and document fixed asset transfers between locations, departments, or cost centers as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV, JD Edwards) and financial reporting/consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream) strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines, particularly around month-end close Solid understanding of
U.S. GAAP
as it relates to fixed asset accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort learning and navigating multiple financial systems CPIM certification is a plus Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
