Job Description
Responsibilities:
Perform recurring bank account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure balances are accurate. Prepare and enter journal entries with a high level of accuracy and in accordance with established timelines. Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities by organizing schedules and completing assigned accounting tasks. Produce financial reports and provide data-driven support for management review and decision-making. Maintain reliable accounting documentation and help preserve the accuracy of the general ledger. Reconcile balance sheet and other key accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when business needs require it. Assist with budget-related reporting, audit support, and compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures. Proven experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role. Hands-on expertise with journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliation. Working knowledge of sales tax processes and corporate tax return support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Proficiency in preparing financial reports and supporting period-end close processes. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with management and cross-functional teams.
