SENIOR ACCOUNTANT OCATION

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, profit and loss statements, and supporting schedules. Prepare month-end reporting packages, including financial statements, accounts receivable aging, rent rolls, bank reconciliations, and related analyses. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Administer fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation calculations, asset tracking, disposals, and reporting. Perform lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842, including: Calculation of Right-of-Use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities. Determination of discount rates and lease payment schedules. Lease classification analysis (finance versus operating leases). Recording and reporting of lease-related transactions. Prepare and maintain depreciation schedules, fixed asset reports, lease schedules, debt compliance reports, loan reporting, and other accounting analyses. Complete monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and prepare supporting documentation for account balances. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Assist with cash flow management, liquidity forecasting, and financial planning to support business growth and operational needs. Track and account for capital projects, purchase orders, long-term fixed assets, and lease activities throughout their lifecycle. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits, tax filings, financial reviews, and other compliance-related activities. Prepare quarterly and annual disclosures related to fixed assets, leases, and other financial reporting requirements. Partner with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support reporting requirements and business objectives. Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for management as needed.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. CPA and/or MBA preferred. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably involving fixed assets, lease accounting, financial statement preparation, and month-end close processes. Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, capitalization policies, and asset lifecycle management. Working knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting requirements and GAAP principles. Experience supporting external audits, tax compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting activities. Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting processes, and complex accounting transactions. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with ERP and financial reporting systems preferred. #LI-AB1 #
