Staff Accountant

Our client has an immediate need for a highly analytical Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Controller, offering strong visibility and the opportunity to step into a well-rounded accounting role with long-term potential.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the full month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingPerform detailed variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insightsManage and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entitiesMaintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAPSupport budgeting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting initiativesSupervise and support the Credit / Accounts Receivable AnalystMaintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation, including related journal entriesAnalyze inventory reports and recommend process improvementsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyPartner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to support business needs
