Job Description

Overview Our accounting department is seeking a meticulous two staff accountants to become part of our team. The perfect candidate will love math and have a deep understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, taxes and other financial activities within an organization. The qualified candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work well both on their own and with others to produce high-quality work products. The staff accountant will have a vital support role, providing accurate and proactive measures that show the financial status of our company and its subsidiaries. Responsibilities Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes. Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections. Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits. Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Meeting processing and reporting deadlines. Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits. Ensuring compliance with GAAP. Assisting the accounting manager as needed. Skills Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance 3+ years accounting experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Working knowledge of GAAP Strong numeracy and analytical skills Good problem-solving and time management skills Highly organized and detail oriented
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
