Job Description
Senior GL Accountant We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior GL Accountant to join our growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be an integral part of our Accounting & Finance division - owning the integrity of our general ledger and playing a key role in the financial health of our organization. Responsibilities Oversee and participate in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis. Oversee revenue recognition across all service lines, ensuring accurate and timely recording in accordance with GAAP as part of the month-end close cycle. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting. Analyze financial data and identify trends and variances. Prepare files to aid in the preparation of tax returns and reports. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects. Stay current on accounting regulations and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA certification preferred. Public accounting experience preferred. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficient in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
