This is a full-time, in office role located in West Valley City, Utah. The Staff Accountant will work closely with and report directly to the Corporate Controller, to support the company's accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and administrative functions. This is an early-career role with opportunities to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance functions within a manufacturing environment and take on increasing responsibility as experience and proficiency develop. Averra Packaging Located in West Valley City, Utah, Averra Packaging provides custom packaging and tooling for thin-wall thermoforming projects, including blister packaging, clamshell packaging, point of sale displays, and shipping trays. Key Responsibilities Assist with month and year-end close. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. Reconcile Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to the general ledger. Assist with invoicing, cash application, and general AR/AP activities. Support monthly financial and management reporting. Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and manufacturing cost accounting. Support standard costing and analysis of material, labor, overhead, and production variances. Maintain fixed asset schedules and assist with additions, disposals, and depreciation. Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations. Support HR administration, maintenance of employee records, and onboarding activities. Assist with maintenance of accounting, payroll, HR, and ERP systems. Support audits, tax requests, process improvements, and other accounting projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field . 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred . Working knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. QuickBooks Online experience is a plus. Manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, or ERP experience is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively and learn under the direction of the Corporate Controller.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
