What You'll Do As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will support a variety of accounting and accounts payable functions, including: Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, credit card transactions, and intercompany billings. Prepare timely and accurate check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Assist with annual IRS Form 1099 preparation and filing requirements. Perform monthly and annual escheatment activities, including reconciliations and due diligence communications. Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations. Support cash receipt and cash disbursement activities for National Guard associations. Assist with budgeting and financial analysis projects as needed. Respond to external audit requests and provide supporting documentation for assigned accounting areas. Collaborate with team members to strengthen financial processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of corporate Accounts Payable experience. Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat. Experience working with Infor or another enterprise Accounts Payable system. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage complex intercompany expense allocations and reconciliation activities. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, Finance team members, and senior leadership. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Self-motivated team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
