Job Description

Staff Accountant Location:

Ashburn, VA (Onsite)

Type:
Temp-to-Perm Compensation:

$25

•36/hour | $65,000

•80,000 upon conversion

Work Schedule:

Monday

•Friday, 8:30 AM

•5:00

Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) matching, annual profit-sharing contribution, volunteer PTO, onsite fitness center, and additional employee engagement benefits Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts receivable activities Complete monthly account reconciliations Prepare monthly schedules and sales reports Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support journal entries, account analysis, and other general accounting activities Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP Assist with reporting and other finance-related projects as needed Work closely with accounting leadership to research and resolve discrepancies Communicate professionally with internal employees, customers, and vendors Identify accounting issues or process improvement opportunities and take initiative to address them Provide additional support across the accounting and finance department as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field required 2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational abilities Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately at a fast pace Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities Professional presentation and ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and vendors Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
