Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
Process daily accounting documents and processes including invoicing, paying vendors and employees, and inventory transactions; assist in the monthly close of the general ledger; and provide support to the staff in completing department goals.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and process sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable. Payroll and inventory Processing may be added. Document processes and make recommendations Process daily bank deposits Call customers regarding payments due Research/reconcile/update customer accounts, as needed Coordinate with sales department those customers who need to be placed on hold due to non-payment of invoices Support internal staff and external auditors Other duties as required
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Employee must have a working knowledge of GAAP, accounting software, excel and word; excellent communication skills; ability to work independently as well as work well with others including all levels within the organization and outside auditors and consultants; be detail oriented; ability to work in a multi-task environment; and have strong analytical skills.
Education/Training:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
2-3 years experience in an accounting environment

Employee must be able to meet normal physical demands to perform duties for this position, including ability to sit or stand for long periods and use a computer for long periods. Employee must be able to file documents and occasionally climb stairs and lift boxes. Employee must be able to see, hear, and speak. $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
