Senior Corporate Accountant Location :

Leesburg, VA We're partnering with a growing Property Services Platform company headquartered in the Leesburg, VA area that is looking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant to their team after a significant investment earlier this year. This is a newly created position due to growth, will report up to the Controller. What you'll actually do Own a large share of the monthly close: journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation and lease entries Prepare the monthly WIP schedule and tie job cost and billings to revenue recognition Reconcile the balance sheet every month and chase down whatever doesn't tie Put together the flash numbers and KPI scorecards leadership reviews before the books are final Update the rolling 13-week cash forecast and explain the variances to actual Help integrate newly acquired businesses into the company's accounting systems and close process Build audit schedules, handle PBC requests, and research GAAP questions as they come up Prepare multi-state sales/use and personal property tax filings What you bring Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance 3-5+ years as a staff Accountant or Senior Accountant Bonus points for WIP / job-cost accounting from construction or another project-based business Strong Excel; Sage Intacct or a comparable cloud ERP is a plus Grasp of GAAP, including ASC 842 and revenue recognition Comfortable researching and documenting an accounting position on your own

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
