Senior GL Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)
Location:
Leesburg, VA (Hybrid•3 days onsite, Tues-Thurs)
Assignment Type:
Contract-to-Hire Compensation:
$45•$50 /hr
Work Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 9:00 AM•5:00
PM Benefits:
This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).
Job Description:
A rapidly growing organization in the medical device space is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join their expanding accounting team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and record journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany balances Maintain supporting documentation in compliance with audit and internal control requirements Perform variance analysis and investigate unusual financial activity Support fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure tracking Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Supply Chain) to ensure accurate transaction flow Assist with SOX compliance and internal control procedures Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, JD Edwards) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
