Job Description
- Support month-end close activities related to cost analysis and reporting, including margin evaluation
- Establish and maintain standard costs for materials and labor
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of cost accounting systems and processes
- Review production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
- Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, ensuring accuracy at month-end
- Recommend and implement process improvements and corrective actions as needed
- Partner with leadership to support annual audit activities
- Help ensure financial reporting goals and deadlines are achieved
- Maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions and records
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing annual physical inventory processes Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a Cost Accountant or Senior Accountant role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with experience using ERP systems and databases
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage large data sets
- In-depth understanding of cost accounting methodologies and best practices
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting
- Background in manufacturing environments, including ERP-based inventory management and valuation
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
