Position Summary The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in the Finance team by supporting month-end close activities, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in insurance and Medicare billing processes. The ideal candidate has a background in senior living or healthcare accounting and thrives in a collaborative, values-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general ledger maintenance, accrual entries, and month-end close activities. Conduct insurance and Medicare account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Assist with financial statement preparation, internal reporting, and annual audits. Support budget monitoring and variance analysis across departments. Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, internal controls, and organizational policies. Collaborate with billing, admissions, and clinical departments to validate resident accounts and reimbursements. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience within a CCRC or healthcare organization. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of Medicare, insurance reimbursement processes, and GAAP. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. Benefits Competitive salary at $65,000 annually. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
