Position Summary Fabritek / Winchester Tool is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting functions of our manufacturing operations. This position will work closely with the Controller and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable functions, and other general accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Manufacturing accounting experience is preferred but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with monthly and year-end financial closing processes. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and research discrepancies. Assist with accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, entry, and payment processing. Assist with accounts receivable, including cash application, account reconciliation, and collection follow-up. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Review transactions for proper general ledger coding and classification. Assist with customer and vendor account discrepancies. Support preparation of schedules and documentation for outside accountants, auditors, lenders, and other financial reporting requirements. Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations as needed. Support manufacturing accounting activities, including inventory, work-in-process, labor, material, and job-costing reconciliations. Assist the Controller with financial analysis and special accounting projects. Help identify accounting discrepancies, process issues, and opportunities to improve internal controls and accounting procedures. Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, customer, and financial information. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Strong understanding of general accounting principles, debits and credits, and general ledger activity. Experience with account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP or accounting software required; manufacturing ERP experience is a plus. Experience with E2 / JobBOSS² is a plus. Manufacturing accounting or job-costing experience is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to research discrepancies and resolve problems independently. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
