Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our public accounting firm. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting bookkeeping activities, and assisting with preparing tax returns. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office tools, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities Prepare tax returns to ensure data accuracy and completeness Support daily bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Help with month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain organized records of financial documents and supporting materials Utilize Microsoft Office applications to create reports, presentations, and documentation as needed Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned to support the finance department Skills Proficiency in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) for data entry, analysis, and reporting Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Experience with bookkeeping processes and financial recordkeeping Attention to detail and accuracy in data management Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
