Job Description

Are you an accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career with a stable and growing manufacturing organization? We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to play a key role in financial reporting, fixed asset management, month-end close, cash flow monitoring, and internal controls.

This position offers broad exposure to accounting operations, financial analysis, budgeting, inventory, and collaboration with domestic and international stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage fixed assets, including Construction in Progress (CIP) projects, asset improvements, disposals, and depreciation activities.

Lead monthly close activities, prepare financial statements, and ensure accurate general ledger reporting.

Review accounts payable transactions, including intercompany activity, and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.

Monitor cash flow and banking activity, process ACH payments, coordinate wire transfers, and maintain banking relationships.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and support financial reporting and analysis.

Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Coordinate letters of credit and support communications with the parent company on financial matters.

Prepare financial and statistical reports for management as needed.

Support semi-annual physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliations.

Assist with external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requests.

Evaluate internal controls, identify process improvements, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiencies and compliance.

Maintain departmental procedures and work instructions.

Collaborate with customers, vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support business objectives.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting Minimum of 1 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with fixed assets and inventory accounting strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with SAP Business One and Sage Fixed Assets is a plus.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and integrity.
