Job Description
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries to support timely and accurate monthly accounting activities.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial records remain complete and reliable.
- Assist with the preparation and review of corporate tax filings and related supporting documentation.
- Manage sales tax processes, including calculating liabilities, maintaining records, and helping ensure filings are submitted correctly.
- Support month-end and year-end close by organizing financial data and verifying account balances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather accounting information and resolve questions affecting financial reporting.
- Maintain documentation for accounting transactions and tax-related activities in accordance with company standards.
