Job Description

We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join a real estate and property organization in Melville, New York. This hybrid opportunity is well suited for someone with a strong foundation in daily transactional accounting who enjoys working with financial data in a fast-paced environment. The position will support core accounting operations, help maintain accurate records, and contribute to timely reconciliations and reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and assist with timely accounts payable activities.
  • Support customer billing and cash application tasks while helping maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries to ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies to keep cash records accurate and up to date.
  • Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial data, analyze variances, and prepare accounting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end close activities by gathering information, updating records, and supporting reporting needs.
