Duties Understand the difference between Debits and Credits. Prepare, review, and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all ledgers. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial ERP software such as Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics or Sage. Conduct monthly general ledger accounting activities, including month-end closing procedures. Assist with tax preparation, including tax experience related to corporate or governmental accounting. Handle confidential information with integrity and maintain data entry accuracy using 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Support financial analysis through Excel data analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis. Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of all transactions. Collaborate with internal teams on financial concepts such as credit analysis, budgeting, and financial acumen. Skills Extensive experience with accounting systems such as ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management. Must be comfortable with creating Pivot tables. Strong understanding of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices. Knowledge of financial software including Epicor, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics or similar tools. Experience with technical accounting issues such as journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail in bookkeeping and data entry tasks. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
