The primary accounting activity is concentrated within our electrical contracting business and commercial real estate/development properties . You'll handle the day-to-day accounting for these businesses, including AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end close, job and project costing, financial reporting, and intercompany activity. You'll also work directly with ownership on real estate and construction projects, building cash flow models and pro formas that help us evaluate opportunities and make informed decisions. The role also includes supporting financing and commercial lending activities. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys the variety and ownership that comes with working in a family-owned business environment. Rather than doing the same accounting function every day, you'll have visibility into several businesses and projects and play an important role in keeping their financials accurate, organized, and moving forward. • Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for affiliated businesses and LLCs
  • Enter, review, and process accounts payable invoices
  • Maintain vendor and customer records
  • Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding receivables

  • Complete month-end closing procedures
  • Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries
  • Review general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies

  • Translate project assumptions—including construction costs, financing, lease rates, operating expenses, timing, and occupancy—into financial models that help ownership make informed directional decisions
  • Update models as actual costs and project assumptions change, identify material variances, and clearly communicate their potential financial impact
  • Work directly with banking partners throughout the commercial lending process, including loan applications, financial reporting, due diligence, covenant compliance, and loan closings
  • Support year-end accounting, tax preparation, and external accountant requests
  • Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting records

  • Ability to build and maintain cash flow models, project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses in Excel
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial models
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet recurring deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial land development or commercial real estate accounting
  • Experience building real estate development or construction project pro formas
  • Experience with electrical or specialty contracting accounting
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and related-party transactions
  • Familiarity with retainage, progress billing, work-in-progress schedules, and construction contracts
  • Experience supporting commercial lending, construction loans, or real estate financing
  • Experience supporting Canadian business operations or multi-currency transactions
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys being involved in both the accounting details and the bigger financial picture.
You should be comfortable owning the day-to-day accounting while also being able to take a potential building or development project, understand the assumptions behind it, and build a financial model that helps ownership determine whether and how to move forward. We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently. You should be able to identify when something doesn't look right, dig into the details, and communicate what you find. Because we are a family-owned group of businesses, this role offers more variety and direct involvement than a traditional accounting position. You'll work closely with ownership and have the opportunity to understand the businesses and projects behind the numbers—not just process the transactions. About the Company Peak410.com and Luquette Electrical share an office and ownership with Teeter.com. Together, they are part of a long-established, family-owned group of businesses and investments. The active portfolio includes commercial real estate and development projects, an electrical contracting business, and a Canadian marina, along with several LLCs that primarily hold undeveloped land or other assets and require very little ongoing accounting activity. Our office environment is collaborative and entrepreneurial, with a small team and direct access to ownership and decision-makers. Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • On-site full gym with personal trainer included
  • On-site indoor pickleball facility membership included
  • Established, family-owned company with more than 40 years of success
  • Variety of businesses and projects to keep the work interesting
  • Direct involvement with ownership and business decision-making
  • Entrepreneurial environment where your ideas can make an impact
  • Collaborative, supportive team culture Application Process To apply, please submit your resume along with your contact information.
Qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule an initial phone interview to discuss experience, role expectations, and compensation. Candidates selected to move forward will be invited to participate in additional interviews.
