$104,000 – $116,480 DOE Our client, an award-winning U.S. manufacturer whose products are installed in millions of locations worldwide, is seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role for a Sr. Cost Accountant who enjoys working closely with Operations and driving accuracy, consistency, and improvement across cost and inventory functions. The Sr. Cost Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, cost analysis, and inventory valuation while helping strengthen processes and controls in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Cost Accountant looking for visibility, ownership, and meaningful cross-functional impact. Overview of the Sr.
Cost Accountant role:
Own the month-end close for Inventory and COGS, including standard vs. actual cost analysis, variances, and budget comparisons Manage cost accounting activities for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, including BOMs, cost updates, overhead rates, and ERP data integrity Analyze manufacturing, inventory, and sales/COGS data to support pricing, profitability, and operational decision-making Oversee inventory valuation and controls, including excess and obsolete reviews and coordination with Operations Document and improve processes, controls, and procedures, supporting audits and cross-functional cost improvement efforts Qualifications for the Sr. Cost Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience with required cost accounting exposure 3+ years supporting manufacturing, inventory, or plant operations ERP experience required; Epicor (Kinetic) or similar ERP experience is a plus Timing is everything.
