Full Job Description Description:
Achilles USA specializes in manufacturing customized plastic films for a vast array of industries and applications, from IMAX movie screens to medical devices. Utilizing materials like PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, and urethane, the company provides calendering, extrusion, lamination, and conversion services. Located in Everett, Washington, Achilles USA develops unique formulations and compounding processes to deliver tailored solutions to its clients. Achilles USA is part of The Achilles Corporation, a global leader in specialized plastic films and synthetic leather manufacturing. Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in a collaborative and fast paced environment! The Staff Accountant is responsible for applying GAAP principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by auditing and analyzing material costs, standard costs, fixed assets, inventories and the general ledger. May establish, modify, document and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review financial documents for accuracy and authenticity. Analyzes, classifies and records financial transactions. May prepare reports regarding profits and losses, inventories, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets and other reports. May participate in account analysis and management reports. Performs month end reconciliation of bank statements, vendor statements and general ledger accounts and perform appropriate accruals. Provides monthly variance reports of production and perform appropriate accruals. Maintains fixed asset postings, calculate and post depreciation to the general ledger and for tax purposes. Prepares reports for audits and works with the auditors in the preparation of the corporate taxes. Audits contracts, orders and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement. Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. Various other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Requirements BA/BS in Accounting or Business required 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience required Strong understanding of GAAP principals required Excel intermediate level (pivot table, v-lookup, and basic formulas) required Experience with accounting software required
