Senior Accounting Specialist Suttell & Hammer, P.S. is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team in Kirkland, Washington. This is an on-site position requiring at least five years of accounting experience, including significant accounts receivable and account reconciliation responsibilities. Compensation, Benefits & Other Medical and Dental Paid Time Off & Holidays 401k with 6% match Subsidized Gym Membership (Lifetime Fitness) Primary Responsibilities Maintain and record incoming payments received by cash, check, ACH, and online payment platforms Maintain checkbook ledgers and account balances, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation Perform full-cycle trust account reconciliations Complete monthly credit card account reconciliations Manage cardholder accounts and resolve discrepancies or account issues Prepare and review audit deliverables and remediate identified findings Research and resolve payment and reconciliation discrepancies Identify and implement process improvements consistent with firm policies and standard operating procedures Maintain accurate financial records while meeting strict daily and monthly deadlines Qualifications At least five years of accounting experience Strong accounts receivable experience Experience performing bank, trust account, and credit card reconciliations Strong understanding of accounting controls and reconciliation procedures Advanced attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet strict deadlines Ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies Strong Excel and accounting system skills Experience supporting audits and correcting findings Experience with trust accounting, high-volume payment processing, or professional-services accounting is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 - 42.0 per week
