Position Overview Epic Private Wealth is seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our growing Richland office. This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional ready to lead — The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, exceptional communicator, and seasoned tax advisor who thrives in a client-facing role and is passionate about helping clients reduce their tax burden while building long-term wealth. You'll work directly with business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and investors, delivering proactive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive tax planning and strategy for individuals, small businesses, and high-net-worth clients. Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary) with accuracy and insight. Analyze clients' financials and identify opportunities for tax optimization, entity structuring, and retirement planning . Stay current on federal and state tax law changes and communicate key updates to clients and team members. Represent clients before the IRS and state agencies in audits or correspondence, as needed. Collaborate with financial advisors, investment strategists, and legal partners to create holistic financial strategies . Mentor junior tax professionals and support team development. Participate in firm growth initiatives, business development, and leadership discussions as a future partner . Qualifications Active CPA license (Arizona or reciprocal state). Minimum 5 years of experience in tax preparation and strategic planning, preferably in a public accounting or advisory firm. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation (MST) or equivalent a plus. Deep understanding of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust taxation . Proven ability to advise clients on complex tax issues and planning opportunities. Proficient in tax software and accounting systems (e.g., TaxAct, ProConnect, QuickBooks, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident with client presentations. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset , and team-oriented with a desire to lead and grow with the firm.
