Full Job Description General Statement of Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Staff Accountant to lead our full-cycle accounting and tax compliance operations. This role is designed for an experienced financial professional who can manage complex reporting, mentor junior staff, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Senior Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee the recording of complex financial transactions, review journal entries, and perform advanced account reconciliations to ensure ledger integrity Lead the preparation and final review of monthly and quarterly bank deliverables and internal financial statements Manage the preparation and filing of sales, income, franchise, and property tax returns across all jurisdictions Act as the primary liaison for external stakeholders, including banking partners, CPA firms, auditors, and government agencies Drive the development of internal control policies and spearhead process improvements, system upgrades, and long-term operational strategies Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff while fostering cross-functional collaboration Perform deep-dive variance analysis and ensure 100% accuracy in financial reporting Perform other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA track preferred At least 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting, tax reporting, and compliance Advanced proficiency in ERP accounting software and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver a high level of customer service What we can offer: $100,000 annual Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k for eligible employees Paid Time Off including Sick/Safe Time A dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growth
