Job Description

Job Summary We're looking to add an additional Staff Accountant to our quickly growing practice who enjoys public accounting work and is ready to leave behind the long tax season hours. This role is perfect for someone who likes working with small business clients, handling a mix of payroll, bookkeeping, and tax work, and helping develop the future of the firm but wants a more consistent, balanced schedule year-round. Duties
  • Process payroll for multiple small business clients
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns
  • Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Prepare Tax returns for Small Businesses (1120, 1120S, 1065) and Individual returns for thier owners (1040)
  • Communicate with clients and provide ongoing support Review work of junior staff and provide feedback for development Experience Associates in Accounting, Finance or a related field is Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is Highly perferred; CPA or pursuing CPA is a plus.
EA or Pursuing EA a plus Proven experience a small office public accounting environments is highly preferred. Payroll experience including filing of payroll reports is required Hands-on experience with various accounting software. Familiarity with payroll systems Excellent analytical skills including the ability to independently investigate issues, identify trends, and question inconsistencies Experience with manufacturing and restaurant clients a plus Pay to adjust based on experience and credentials

From $50,000.00 per year
