This role is ideal for someone who has a strong accounting foundation but is looking for an opportunity to expand their skills in financial reporting, analysis, process improvement, ERP systems, and business partnering. You'll play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of our financial records while helping support strategic initiatives across the company. Key Responsibilities Month-End & Financial Reporting Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews. Prepare and analyze monthly costing reports, labor efficiencies, and material variances, providing recommendations to improve cost accuracy and operational performance. Lead assigned month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Daily Accounting Operations Process and oversee accounts payable transactions, including invoice review, coding, approval workflow, and vendor payments. Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and customer account reconciliation. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. Prepare and post journal entries. Maintain inventory accounting records, review inventory transactions, and support inventory accuracy initiatives. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Continuous Improvement & Growth Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Support ERP and financial system enhancements. Participate in cross-functional projects with operations, engineering, sales, and leadership teams. Develop expertise in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and business analysis. Partner with the CFO and leadership team on special projects, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives, with opportunities for expanded responsibility and professional growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience will be considered. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and month-end close processes. Hands-on experience working with ERP systems in an accounting or manufacturing environment. Epicor ERP experience a plus. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Familiarity with manufacturing accounting, inventory transactions, and cost accounting concepts. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and an understanding of financial, inventory, and costing-related processes. Manufacturing cost accounting experience, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis. Experience supporting ERP implementations, process improvements, or system enhancements.
