Job Description
Role:
The Staff Accountant at Specialty Smile Partners will play a role in maintaining and reviewing company's accounting records with accuracy and integrity. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires collaboration with team members to maintain accurate, timely record keeping which will contribute to the financial health and sustainability of the organization.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting At least 3 years of professional accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Previous experience in a public accounting role Familiarity with sales tax regulations and filingsResponsibilities:
Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional training efforts to maintain a strong, well-balanced teamSkills:
The Staff Accountant will utilize their strong accounting knowledge daily to ensure accurate balance and income statement presentations. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel will be essential for managing data sets and performing reconciliations efficiently. Communication skills are critical for collaborating with internal teams and external auditors.
