About Collins & Associates, S.C.: Collins & Associates is a well-established CPA firm in La Crosse. We provide high-impact accounting services to a diverse local client base. We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take a lead role in supporting our clients' financial success.
The Role:
This is not just a data-entry position. We are looking for an Accountant who can step in and take ownership of client accounts. You will be a key point of contact for colleagues and clients alike, utilizing your 3+ years of experience to ensure accuracy and provide insightful financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Expertise:
Prepare and manage personal and business tax returns with a high degree of accuracy.
Financial Management:
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, month-end closings, and complex reconciliations.
Reporting:
Prepare comprehensive financial statements and assist clients in understanding their fiscal health.
Payroll & Compliance:
Manage payroll cycles and ensure all reporting is timely and compliant.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience is required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
Software Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and Microsoft Office is essential.
Communication:
Strong ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients and team members.
