Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for a professional with 7 to 10 years of accounting expertise who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. As a key contributor, you will support financial reporting, project analysis, and internal controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills, mentor junior staff, and make a meaningful impact within our organization. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity. Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end close processes, project management cost and invoicing transactions. Perform detailed account analysis using Excel data analysis techniques such as VLOOKUP functions, spreadsheets, and pivot tables. Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis. Provide mentorship to accounting staff, fostering professional development and technical growth. Low Volume, High Dollar transactions. Utilize financial software SAGE. Experience A minimum of 7 years of professional accounting experience with demonstrated expertise in financial accounting and corporate finance. College Degree In Accounting, 2 or 4 years Extensive knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and technical accounting concepts. Proficiency in financial software including in Microsoft Excel—including data analysis functions like VLOOKUP—and spreadsheet management. Pay:
$37.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 32.0 per week
