Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm The Sigma Group, Inc. seeks an Accountant to support the Finance and Accounting activities of the company. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure timely completion of general ledger activities and financial statement reporting. Benefits & Ownership Perks Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Profit Sharing Plan Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability Paid Holidays & Paid Time Off (PTO) Tuition Reimbursement What You'll Do & Learn Manage day-to-day accounting transactions under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, with a focus on the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions Reconcile monthly bank statements Record cash receipts including check deposits, credit card payments, and ACH payments Manage the receivables process and respond to outstanding balance inquiries Facilitate the entry of accounts payable and company credit card transactions, with attention to the monthly reporting cycle and cut-off Assist the Senior Accountant with fixed-asset and prepaid expense identification and tracking Reconcile vendor records with the accounting system to ensure completeness of payables Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes Prepare, create, and export reports/documents in Excel and Word Maintain client, vendor, and accounting records to support financial and tax reporting Support Administration team staff as needed, such as phone and guest arrival support, mail processing and shipping, and document preparation Assist with other duties as assigned to support the success of the team At The Sigma Group, you're not just an employee—you're building a career with real opportunities for skill development, broad accounting experience, and advancement.
