full-time About the Company Acorn Assembly LLC is a rapidly growing technology company in search of a motivated, Accounting Associate to join our team. This is a dynamic position. About the Role As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the activities of the overall general accounting and office functions. You will assist with maintenance of accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This position ensures the accurate entry and reporting of accounts payables/receivables, and payroll data and acts as liaison between the company, payroll provider and Accounting Manager in providing required information and ensuring proper records are maintained. Responsibilities Maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems Responsible for completion of accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, payroll entry, cash reconciliation, general ledger) Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute wages, deductions and prepare payroll using third party payroll software Perform basic accounting procedures, journal entries and general ledger maintenance Communicate with customers and suppliers to address AR and AP related inquiries Assist with PTO tracking, new hire, payroll data entry Help review and reconcile general ledger accounts This role will perform a mix of routine daily functions and month end responsibilities in an onsite position located in Franksville, WI Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field preferred Exceptional organization and time management skills Familiarity with payroll entry and software systems. High attention to detail; ability to take direction, self-check and follow up on work Basic database experience, 10-key by touch, and calculator Analytical and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, or other accounting software Ability to apply discretion, and trust with confidential company information Prior accounting and office experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful Knowledge of Epicor ERP systems, and Paylocity payroll a plus. Required Skills 2-3 years of prior Accounts Payables/Receivables, general office experience Experience using Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis) General computer skills and ability to learn new systems Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Pay range and compensation package If you believe you have the skills and experience necessary to excel as an Accounting Associate at Acorn Assembly LLC, please submit your resume detailing your relevant qualifications for this role.
