Sr. Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to support our finance team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting processes and financial management. The successful candidate will bring expertise in month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesExecute month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reportingMaintain and update the general ledger, recording all transactions correctlyPrepare and post journal entries to support financial accuracyReconcile accounts and perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial recordsSupport grant accounting and compliance with funding requirements, if applicableManage accounts payable processes, including invoice reviews and approvalsAnalyze financial documents to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actionsCollaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
