Accountant

We're partnering with a stable, mission-driven organization in Waukesha to add an Accountant to their team on either a temporary or temp to hire basis . You'll play a key role in the month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations. This position is 100% in the office Monday through Friday with full-time hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Job Duties:

Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and accruals. Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, researching and resolving variances. Assist with financial reporting and ensure accuracy of data across systems. Work cross-functionally to support AP, AR, and cash activity as needed. Help maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation. Participate in audit preparation and provide support during audit cycles. Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related) preferred 1-4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to month-end close. Strong understanding of account reconciliations and general ledger activity. Comfortable working in Excel and navigating accounting systems. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
